Developing Culturally Relevant Content to Improve Student Engagement

Mondo Davison
Schoolz, Co-Founder

Mondo Davison, most notably known as ‘The Black Tech Guy’ is on a mission to inspire black males to leverage their creativity as a startup entrepreneur. He believes branding The Black Tech Guy as a trailblazing figure in the tech space, will lead to a more compelling ‘Plan A’ than rapper, trapper, or athlete. An educator turned entrepreneur; Mondo is the co-founder of Schoolz -- an edTech startup building culturally relevant content for Google classroom.

Dario Otero
Youth Lens 360 / Undemo/ Schoolz, CEO/Co-Founder

Dario Otero’s vision for Youth Lens 360 came from his own experience as a child lost in a blind spot within the educational system. Youth Lens 360 is a content creation and facilitation company empowering youth as storytellers.

Dario started Youth Lens 360 to work with youth ages 14 to 25 to create content, film live events and facilitate community conversations. Many students dive deep into storytelling skills they’ve never been exposed to before, exploring video production, voiceover work and facilitation. The experience allows teens and young adults to earn pay, hands on experience and entrepreneurial development.
