Resilience, Renewables and Innovation
A look at the goals, progress, and impact of CPS Energy's FlexPower Bundle and what this means for San Antonio.
Solar Equity
Renewables are reshaping relationships between providers and customers more rapidly than ever before. Yet the COVID-19 pandemic and various inclement weather events have proven that not everyone has access to the benefits. Providers have the opportunity to address equity issues in communities through unique models and programs. This panel will explore what role providers play in making sure solar is equitable for all.
Innovating Within and Without
Innovation is often thought of as the development and debut of a technology or strategy that has never been seen by anyone before, but innovation can come from the incorporation of existing products and principles to an organization to do things in a way that has never been done at that company. This panel will cover the different ways that innovation can manifest in the industry and how innovative culture and leadership can change an organization, an industry, and even the world.
The Green Bank Movement
The energy transition won't be complete without all communities being able to participate. But upfront costs for clean energy solutions are barriers even for middle class populations. Regionally, "green banks" have been devising innovative funding solutions that grant access to clean energy for several years. Now, there is a push for a National Climate Bank. This panel will discuss:
- How a National Climate Bank would expand access to capital and accelerate the transition while creating jobs
- Creative solutions green banks are implementing
- How stakeholders can work together to provide clean energy opportunities to individuals and communities
