Sean grew up in San Antonio and is passionate about the current state and future of our city. At the greater:SATX, Sean positions San Antonio as a destination to expand and create new jobs through recruitment, and works with local employers and workforce development efforts to find opportunities to lower barriers for all people to enter the field of tech. Sean graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio and earned a Bachelors in Marketing from UTSA, and a Masters in Public Affairs from UTRGV. Some of Sean's hobbies include tending to backyard chickens, landscaping, hiking, reading, photography, collecting sneakers, and an occasional inline skate session. Sean lives in the neighborhood he grew up in with his wife Caroline, and his three daughters, Catherine, Elisabeth, and Michelle.

Venture for America is a nonprofit, two year Fellowship program for recent college graduates who want to become entrepreneurs. With the support of the 80/20 Foundation, VFA San Antonio was established in 2014, and has attracted young, budding entrepreneurs who have gone on to co-find major startups in the ecosystem like Pinch, FloatMe and Sendspark.
