However, do not let the manager title foul you.  His background comes from years of middleware development and high availability architecture.  He was the lead developer on IBM's first RFID project and published author on utilizing Datapower for an Enterprise service bus.  Most recently he co-authored an article on creating a rule-based API contextual validator.

Stephen is very passionate about the API Economy, and its importance to the SaaS and Hybrid business models that target industry specific data.  He is currently leading strategy at IBM around SaaS and Hybrid Cloud architectures for AI Applications that target large scale business services around industries in supply chain, weather, and asset mgmt.  Stephen leads many developer advocate programs and works with numerous customers and partners on building industry targeted practices and services. He is also an IBM Master Inventor.
